Hazrat Faqir Tabish Kamal is one of the most prominent and noteworthy poets among his contemporaries in last decade of previous century. He brought forward the healthy tradition of poetry while harmonizing and synchronizing with modern empiricism, particularly poems in Urdu and Kafi in Punjabi. His Urdu poems encompass almost every topic. In this art, his special attribute, which is the fate of a few poets, is the melodiousness. Amazingly, Hazrat Faqir Tabish Kamal has maintained his individuality while creatively learning from each grand poet ranging Baba Farid (R.A) to Khawaja Farid (R.A). His poetry encloses the literary impassionate style along with modern intellect.
Hazrat Faqir Tabish Kamal attained the Masters degrees in Urdu and Punjabi from Punjab University. Until now his four books; Manzar Manzar Dhoop (Urdu-Three Editions), Sham Payee Bin Sham (Punjabi-Three Editions), Mahajir Prindo’n ki Nazmein (Urdu-Two Editions) and Naatia book “Sall-e-Alaa” have been published and highly appreciated by literary associates. Moreover, “Loh-e-Kamal,” “Zar-e-Bagh” and “Mata-e-Kamal” are his other remarkable pieces of collection works. He is the member of Arbab-e-Zouq Rawalpindi and Pakistan Writers Guild Punjab. The research projects of M.A, M.Phil and PhD in different universities on his personality and literary contributions are the obvious confession of his intellectual and literary brilliance. “Sair-ul-Aflak”, an astounding composition of one of his spiritual journeys is not only an invaluable addition to books on sufism but also introduces us to a free flowing prose writer.
